dc1394ctrl - control your IEEE1394 digital camera from the command line

What is dc1394ctrl

dc1394ctrl is a linux commandline utility released as open source (GPL) which allows you to read and change some of the features of your IEEE1394 digital camera. It main purpose is to save and later restore your camera parameters (e.g. brightness).

What do I need to run it?

You need a running IEEE1394 linux subsystem with a connected digital camera (NOT a camcorder). To check your setup you might use gscanbus and coriander.
Finally the following libraries should be installed on your system:

The newest version of dc1394ctrl is 0.1 which you can download here:
    dc1394ctrl-0.1.tar.gz (16k)

How to install

Download the package and extract it with
tar xvzf dc1394ctrl-*.tar.gz
or something similar.
cd to the new directory (should be dc1394ctrl-X, where X is the version number) and run make. If nothing went wrong you can start dc1394ctrl now by typing ./dc1394ctrl
